yarlung Bamboo Stool
At 14.2 inches high, this stool is the closest match for shoppers specifically seeking a 14-inch step. Its bamboo construction and varnished, waterproof surface give it a different profile from portable plastic folding stools. The listed dimensions are 15.8 inches long by 11.8 inches wide, and the product supports up to 300 pounds.
Best for: Buyers who want a near-14-inch stool for reaching a sink or shelf and prefer a fixed bamboo design. The listed surface is described as easy to clean, and the stool is intended for adults and children.
Consider: The product information does not describe a folding mechanism or adjustable height. Choose another option if compact folding storage or height adjustment is essential.
Loyoda Adjustable Aluminum Work Platform
The Loyoda platform adjusts from 12 to 15.7 inches, allowing shoppers to select a height close to 14 inches. Its aluminum construction is described as rust-resistant, and the stool folds for storage. The listed maximum capacity is 440 pounds. Four legs can be adjusted independently, according to the product details.
Best for: Buyers who want more than one height setting or a platform that can be folded away. Its maximum adjustment reaches close to 16 inches, making it more flexible than a fixed-height stool.
Consider: This is not a fixed 14-inch stool; the listed range starts at 12 inches and ends at 15.7 inches. Confirm that the adjustment settings suit the intended task.
ACKO 16-Inch Folding Step Stool
This ACKO model is a taller alternative for shoppers who need more reach than a 14-inch stool provides. It has a stated 400-pound capacity, a non-slip top, a movable handle, and reinforced construction. The listing also describes textured rubber straps at the bottom corners and design features intended to reduce finger-trap risk.
Best for: Buyers who want a folding stool with a higher stated capacity and do not require an exact 14-inch height. The added height may suit tasks where a shorter step is not enough.
Consider: At 16 inches, it is two inches taller than the target height. Avoid choosing it if a 14-inch maximum is important for safe access or task fit.
Delxo 13-Inch Folding Step Stool
The Delxo is a compact one-step option with a listed height of 13 inches and a maximum capacity of 300 pounds. Its opened dimensions are 13 inches high by 14 inches long by 11 inches wide; folded, it measures 17.5 inches high by 13 inches long by 1.2 inches wide. Features include a grip-dot surface, anti-skid rubber feet, a folding support bar, and a carrying handle.
Best for: Buyers who value portability and slim storage and can use a step slightly shorter than 14 inches. The product is described for indoor and outdoor use.
Consider: It is one inch below the requested height. The listing says the stool must be fully opened before use, so verify that the support bar is engaged.
HBTower 13-Inch Folding Step Stool
HBTower’s stool is listed at 13 inches high with a 450-pound capacity. It is made from heavy-duty plastic and has an ergonomic carrying handle, an anti-pinch buckle switch, and rounded corners. The listing describes factory testing, but does not provide additional test details in the supplied product information.
Best for: Shoppers who prefer a folding plastic stool and place importance on the listed capacity. The handle and buckle switch are useful features for carrying and folding.
Consider: This stool is 13 inches high, not 14. Choose it only if that lower height will provide enough reach.
Buying Guide: How To Choose A 14-Inch Step Stool
Should you choose an exact-height stool?
Check the product’s stated height rather than relying on its name or general description. The yarlung model is 14.2 inches, while the ACKO is 16 inches and the Delxo and HBTower models are 13 inches. A height difference can affect whether the stool reaches a shelf, sink, or other target safely.
Is folding or fixed construction better?
A folding stool can be convenient for small homes, closets, or moving between rooms. Check the folded dimensions when provided, and confirm that the stool is fully opened and locked or supported before stepping on it. A fixed-style stool may suit a location where it can remain set up, but the listed bamboo product does not specify foldability.
How should you compare capacity and stability features?
Compare the stated weight capacity with your needs, but do not treat capacity as the only safety measure. Look for listed features such as non-slip surfaces, rubber feet, support bars, safety locks, and rounded corners. Follow the product instructions, use the stool on a stable surface, and avoid standing on a folded or partially opened stool.
When is an adjustable model useful?
An adjustable model can accommodate tasks that call for different step heights. The Loyoda’s stated range is 12 to 15.7 inches, which includes heights near 14 inches. Confirm that its adjustment positions work for the intended use rather than assuming it locks at every possible height.
